TRAINING SESSION – Setting up for Surgical NAPS

We encourage all day hospitals to conduct Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) audits using the National Antimicrobial Prescribing Survey (NAPS) platform. This web-based qualitative auditing tool supports hospitals in achieving compliance with Standard 3.18 & 3.19 for accreditation.

While the assessment quiz on the platform specifies the exclusion of day stay patients, it is essential to note that Surgical NAPS is better suited for day hospital patients. This platform captures patients who are not prescribed antimicrobials, a crucial marker of appropriateness for these types of patients.

A training session has been organised with Josephine Wen, Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist representing NAPS, who will provide training for members of Day Hospitals Australia on using the platform.

Click on your preferred date below to register. Each training session will last 30 minutes and includes a 10 minute Q&A. You only need to attend one session.
