We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Scrub/Scout, Anaesthetics and PACU nurses for OMF, Plastics and Cosmetic Surgery. This is a part-time or casual role in a two theatre privately owned stand-alone day surgery. Location – Lower Templestowe 3107

Skills and experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience in perioperative nursing is required.

In this role, you would be responsible for delivering exceptional clinical care and must demonstrate a commitment to quality patient care.

We are seeking nurses with sound clinical skills, excellent time management and organisational skills, who thrive in a team environment.

Essential criteria: 

Minimum 2 years perioperative experience (Desired specialities Oral & Maxillofacial, Plastics and Cosmetics. Paediatric experience).

Unconditional APHRA registration, with full working rights in Australia.

Commitment to quality patient care.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Works well independently and within a team.

Working with Children’s Check and a recent Police Check.

COVID-19 vaccination certification and immunisation history.

In your role, you would be responsible for delivering exceptional skills in scrub/scout, anaesthetics and recovery, patient admissions and discharges.

About you

You’ll be AHPRA registered and bring with you a minimum of 2 years theatre experience, preferably ophthalmic although not mandatory. You’ll have demonstrated knowledge of the Department of Health Guidelines, Standards and Regulations, OHS, Infection Control and their impact on delivery of care.

Darwin Day Surgery is located in tropical Darwin in the Northern Territory.

We have two operating rooms, 5 first stage recovery bays and 8 second stage recovery chairs.

We provide services in the specialties of Endoscopy, Plastics, IVF, Dental and General Surgery.

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic experienced Quality Nurse to continue in the steps of our current Coordinator while she plans her retirement (so all the hard work is done).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Registered Nurse with current APHRA Registration
  • Min 3 Years Peri-Operative Experience
  • Proven experience in Quality and Risk Management
  • Working knowledge of AS/NZS ISO 9001 Quality Management System

We are seeking a Nurse Unit Manager or experienced Registered Endoscopy Nurse to join our team in a private day hospital in a permanent role.

The Position

In this role you will be responsible for coordination and management of day to day activities of patient care, facilities & equipment, human resources, implementing and evaluating all practices, processes and clinical services within the day hospital, as well as Quality Management / Accreditation and ongoing compliance to the National Standards.


  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Proven knowledge as a senior Nurse or Manager or Endoscopy Nurse
  • Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate continuous improvement / risk management of the quality program in accordance to the National Standards
