The Medical Cost Finder website launched on 8 December 2022. The website is a tool to find and understand costs for medical specialist services across Australia.
For the MCF to be valuable for consumers there needs to be widespread specialist participation.
Private hospitals and day hospitals, in their relationship with visiting specialists, play an important role in encouraging this engagement with the MCF and your support is important to the success of this initiative.

The department will be holding virtual information sessions for private hospital staff and specialists about the MCF and how it will benefit patients:
- Wednesday 29 March, 12 – 1 pm AEDT
- Thursday 30 March, 1 – 2 pm AEDT
