We are excited to release the preliminary program and open delegate registrations for the Day Hospitals Australia National Conference, which will be held from 31 August – 2 September 2022 at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, Hobart.

Delegates from a range of medical, health care and associated professions and industries will attend the conference to hear from inspirational keynote speakers and panel chairs including:

  • Dr Richard Harris, Co-Australian of the Year 2019
  • Kurt Fearnley, Paralympic gold medalist
  • Norman Swan, Medical & Health Broadcaster and
  • the Honourable Greg Hunt, former Minister for Health and Aged Care

Invited industry leaders will also explore new scope and advancement for the Day Hospital sector and its increasingly important place in the Australian Health Care system while International Speakers will provide insight into day hospital procedures in the USA, UK and Europe.

Poster Competition

A Poster competition will be offered to delegates at the 2022 Conference to highlight research, innovations, achievements, new systems and ideas to improve services provided by day hospitals.

Prizes will be awarded in two categories: 

Day Hospitals – Open to staff, Directors of Nursing, CEOs, owners and representatives from member day hospitals. This is your chance to share your ideas and innovations with other day hospitals.

Medical Professionals – Open to medical specialists who work at member day hospitals including surgeons, anaesthetists and physicians. Share research and or advancements in patient care in your day hospital with colleagues.
