Wednesday 12 May is International Nurses Day and we would like to thank all nurses around the country and recognise the important role they play in the Australian day hospital sector and healthcare system.
International Nurses Day is celebrated annually around the world on May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth. The theme for International Nurses Day 2021 is A Voice to Lead – A Vision for Future Healthcare which focuses on the challenges nursing faces, and how the profession will transform the future of healthcare.
