Australian Digital Health Agency – authentication system upgrade

To ensure customer information stays secure, the Australian Digital Health Agency is upgrading their authentication systems and strengthening security when accessing Healthcare Identifiers Service, the My Health Record system, Electronic Prescriptions, and Secure Messaging.

By 13 March 2022, providers will need to upgrade their Software Product to be NASH SHA-2 compliant. NASH SHA-1 PKI Certificates will no longer be supported as of 13 March 2022.

Throughout the year, Healthcare Providers will hear more about this change through government communications as well as through PHNs and industry bodies. For more information on key dates, support and technical requirements click here.
