A new national Cataract Clinical Care Standard was released this week. The standard was developed by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care, in consultation with consumers and healthcare professionals and aims to ensure that cataract patients are prioritised for surgery or non-surgical alternatives based on both clinical need and individual circumstances.
